Arts
The Creative Arts faculty comprises
Visual Art and Music. There are four art rooms, one darkroom with 12
enlargers, a small computer lab, two music classrooms, one keyboard
lab and a performance workshop and our new movement studio. There
are four visual art teachers and two music teachers currently on
staff.
In Years 7 and 8 Music and Art are
mandatory while in Year 9 Visual Art subjects and Music can be
chosen as an elective for either 100 or 200 hours into Year 10.
Popular subjects in Year 9 are Visual Art, Visual Design, Ceramics,
photography and Digital media and of course Music.
There are many opportunities for
performance across all years in school concerts, variety nights,
Karaoke and dance competitions, join in extra art activities or take
on a special project.
